As sample material we can use genomic DNA or EDTA-blood. Both materials can be sent at ambient temperature. To ease international transport, genomic DNA is recommended. Please indicate method of DNA isolation. For blood samples, about 5 ml are sufficient .
Use sterile and tightly closed containers (e.g. screw caps) and label each container with patient name and date of birth or your internal lab no.
For the packing and shipment of non-infectious diagnostic samples (UN3373) see UN packing instruction P650 (ADR/RID/IATA). For international transport of human material, FedEx seems to be the only shipment company. They will provide you with the appropriate forms.
